Only minutes from Barcelona's famous "RAMBLAS" the Aurora 1 is located in the heart of the old town, while it's situation is a pleasant contrast - a quiet street, with hardly any traffic to bother you, one street from the new "Rambla de Raval" a wide Mediterranean avenue lined with palm trees.
This newly redecorated, first floor apartment with 100 square meters, is situated 7-8 minutes from "LAS RAMBLAS", and "PLACA CATALUÑA", the city's main square. The building, in the old town, is new with a large hall and new elevator, giving easy access for senior citizens and pushchairs etc. With two balconies, the apartment enjoys a lot of natural sunlight throughout the day. The three double bedrooms (interior and quiet) have king-size beds (1.90m x 2.20m) and large wardrobes - one bedroom can also be made a triple. The brand new bathroom has a toilet and designer glass sink, along with a hydromassage shower cabin, complete with radio, light, extractor fan and seat for a completely relaxing emperience. There are also 4 sofa beds in the apartment (2 doubles and 2 singles) giving the flat a warm welcome for up to 12 guests. Fresh towels and clean sheets are also provided. The decoration of the apartment is new and modern, as is the furniture. The Kitchen boasts new washing machine, toaster, microwave, 4 gas rings fridge/freezer and cafetera. The living area has an extendable dining table with chairs for 10, and a TV & DVD. There is also an iron and ironing board. This big and welcoming apartment offers all you need for a comfortable stay in our wonderful city.
There are four metro lines serving the apartment, (LICEU, DRASSANES, PARAL.LEL [L3] and SAN ANTONIO [L2]) all of which are a short 5 minute stroll from the apartment and metro maps with other tourist information will be waiting for you in the apartment. As an Englishman living here, I have prepared a "Welcome Pack" with useful local information, recommended restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs, and tons of other information you won't find in any guidebooks!! Discount Parking in the same street can be offered, and any local tourist information, reservation calls (restaurants, theatre, discothèques, airport transfers, minibuses and coaches, etc.) can be made by us (English and Spanish spoken). |

Barcelona’s
PORT AND MARINA are only 10 minutes walk from the flat. So whether you want to
imagine which of the yachts you’d buy when you win the lottery, walk THROUGH
Europe’s largest fish tank in the AQUARIUM for a true “Jaws”-style
experience, take in a 3-D cinematic experience in the IMAX, or check out the exclusive
shops, bars and restaurants in MAREMAGNUM, you know you only have a sunshine stroll
back to the flat to relax before you do it all again the next day!!
Along
the way to the Port, you’ll pass the MARITIME MUSEUM, the landmark of “Las
Ramblas” - the COLUMBUS MONUMENT - and if you decide to venture further,
there are various stops of the TOURIST BUS along the way- a great way to see all
the sights in the city in a short stay.
In the other direction, moving back
up “Las Ramblas” allow yourself to be surprised and captivated by the
GOTHIC quarter, so called because it is said that in the middle ages the devil
had a habit of strolling through the old streets of the city. Even today, you
are able to revive the magic of the old town, with the PLACA REAL (royal square),
PLACA PALAU (palace square) and CATHEDRAL, at a stones throw from each other.
All of these routes can be enjoyed without haste from the Aurora’s flat.
