Gracia
is a neighbourhood of Barcelona with it’s own personality. It’s charecterised
by being the meeting place of young and diverse people. Gracia has it’s own
life and still has a quiet, family atmosphere but at night, it transorms into
a neighbourhood with lots of life. Various cinemas, theatres, restaurants and
discos along with unique “placas” each with their own atmosphere characterise
Gracia. “La Placa del Dellotge”, where the Gracia Town Hall is, has
many bars, with tables outside, and in summer, it’s common to see live concerts.
“La Placa del Diamant” and “La Placa del Sol” also have many
pavement bars and discoteques, for all kinds of people.
En Calle Verdi,
there is a cinema with various screens with original version films. Also the street
has many restaurants, with Mediterranean, Libanese and Greek cusine, and many
pubs. All this action is just a ten minute walk from the apartment.
Just 15 minutes in metro is the centre of Barcelona, Placa Catalunya (metro line
4), and the beaches and the hotel Arts are 20 minutes away. Here you can also
visit the Aquarium and Maremagnum - a leasure centre for all ages.
Taking
the 55 bus, outside the apartment will lead you to Las Ramblas in 25 minutes.
The 25 bus will take you to Parc Guell - Gaudi’s park, in 10 minutes. Taking
the metro down Paseo de Gracia, you can visit the Casa Batilo and Casa Mila, La
Padrera, Gaudi’s archtiquetural masterpieces. Also the metro takes you to
the Gothic Quarter, the cultural and historic part of Barcelona.
Just ten
minutes from the apartment, take a walk to Sagrada Familia, the unfinished work
of Gaudi, and the centre piece of Barcelona. This work can also be seen from the
terrace which the apartment has, along with the Tibidabo mountains, Mntjiuc, and
the sea.
