This lovely apartment is maintained and run by an English
managing agent in Barcelona. The apartment is situated on the third floor of a
quiet residential block and has a lift .The salon and bedrooms look out onto the
street of Mariano Cubi and benefit from having sun all day. The entrance to the
apartment is from Calle Regas.
The apartment has
been refurbished as of June 2003. The large lounge/dinner has parquet flooring
with high quality furniture comprising of leather sofas a beautiful white pebble
resin coffee table, new Sony 28inch wide screen TV with Dvd player. The dinning
area has an elegant black marble table with Jacobsen chairs that comfortable sit
four; also, it has modern lighting to match. The kitchen is well equipped with
washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, oven, and all other kitchen
utensils.
The main bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom is
technically a single bedroom but has a standard size double bed, hence giving
the apartment the capacity to sleep four. Again, attention has been given to the
quality of the beds and linen to ensure a comfortable nights sleep. Also, as Barcelona
is one of the nosiest cities in Europe new sound insulation windows have been
fitted.
The bathroom has a half bath/shower and the hot water is instant
via way of gas boiler. There's also an iron and ironing board. Towels and bed
linen provided. CD's can be played through the dvd/television.

Relatively
speaking Barcelona is a small city and all the areas of interest, which are highlighted
in the guides, are within easy travelling distance of each other. This apartment
is in the centre and only 700 meters away is Paseo de Gracia, which is possible
the most beautiful street or 'calle' in the whole of Spain. Here you can see one
of the many famous Gaudi buildings that Barcelona is famous for. The street before
Paseo de Gracia is the tree lined La Rambla de Catalunya this is one of the main
shopping streets and outside eating tapas bar areas in town. Nearest metro station
is just 70 metres away (Gracia) and the main street for taxis is just 20 metres
away (Balmes).The area boasts a large local food market, which offers all the
best in fresh food - fruit, veg, fish, and meat for those who like to cook.
