apartment, right in the heart of Gothic Barcelona, and welcomes up to 4 guests

This second floor apartment (no elevator), has been completely re-decorated (August
2003), and boasts modern design and furniture, coupled with the traditional building
of the Gothic Quarter. There is an ample living room, with easy-chair, a large
wall-mirror and a double sofa bed. The brand new kitchen is next along the well-lit
passageway. This kitchen has everything you need for your stay- oven, gas hob,
toaster, new crockery and cutlery, and plenty of space. The first bedroom has
a double bed, bedside table and lamp and a wardrobe for hanging clothes. The second
bedroom is a single room, again with a table, lamp and sufficient wardrobe space
for everyone's clothes. The dining area has a modern glass table with chairs,
an occasional serving trolley and comfortable armchair. There are also long, glass
doors giving lots of natural sunlight throughout the day. Finally the bathroom
has a double sink with vanity mirror, a toilet and shower, and also the washing
machine and dryer (tidily fitted into cupboards). |

The
apartment is located in the "El Borne" neighbourhood, with the Picasso
museum (amongst others) at just a 5-minute walk. The city's Cathedral, again,
is just a few minutes walk from the apartment. El Borne is also becoming famous
for it's diversity of new "cool" bars, restaurants and discos/clubs,
so it's a great place to start and finish the night - whatever your tastes in
music or food. There are many alternative shops and boutiques around the neighbourhood,
along with normal grocery shops and little supermarkets. Almost all of the area
is pedestrian, so it's a quiet place, far away from the worries of traffic. The
beaches of the city are a 20-minute walk from the area, and along the way, take
a walk in "Barcelona's Garden" - the Cuitadella Parc, also home of the
zoo. Northwest of the apartment is the famous "Ramblas" with many shops,
bars, cafes and restaurants, and live entertainment with the street performers
at all hours of the day.
