Situated very close (within 20-25 mins. walking distance)
to the center of Barcelona, the Aparthotel Calabria was much
more than we ever could have expected. A lovely apartment building
surrounded by a bustling neighbourhood, complete with restaurants,
bars, shopping, grocery stores and two blocks from the subway
station. A very safe neighbourhood at night (my wife and I would
often return to the hotel after dinner around midnight or later)
and energetic during the day. Our apartment came complete with
plenty
of closet space, room for ourselves and belongings, a balcony
with a unique view into another world behind the hotel (we like
that as opposed to just looking across the street) a kitchen
with cooking ware/utensils!!! and a very friendly and helpful
staff who spoke english and spanish. The breakfast
was splendid, service was great and the pay-per-use internet
service was FAST and convenient.
I can't say enough about this hotel. I highly recommend this
hotel whether you're in town overnight or staying for an extended
period of time. It was much cheaper than our first hotel and
MUCH more spacious. Wish I had taken pictures of the room to
share !!

The room bas better than expected : very good, clean, reasonably
priced, excellent beakfast, friendly and helpful personnell.
We enjoyed everything verry much !!
